The Community Mental Health and Recovery Board of Licking and Knox Counties was established by the State Mental Health Act of 1988 and Sub House Bill 317. CMHRB is selected by state law to fund community-based behavioral health care (mental health recovery and substance abuse/addiction services) to citizens of Licking and Knox Counties regardless of individual financial circumstances.

CMHRB makes services available through contracts with local not-for-profit agencies that follow strict standards mandated by the state and federal governments and by CMHRB.
