The Board and its staff must work daily to secure enough federal, state and local resources (grants, match programs, private sector dollars) in order to ensure the delivery of quality based behavioral health care services. CMHRB makes certain that these services are also made accessible and affordable for all residents of Licking and Knox Counties.

Board

CMHRB is comprised of up to 18 local volunteers from Licking and Knox Counties. These board volunteers are appointed by the Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH), Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services (ODADAS) and our local County Commissioners. These members represent community leaders, professionals in the mental health, alcohol and drug addiction fields, persons receiving services, family members or individuals interested in helping people with issues pertaining to mental health, alcohol and other drug abuse, frequently referred to as Behavioral Health Care. The volunteers' primary role is to make key decisions relating to purchasing, monitoring and evaluating services that are provided to our citizenry through not-for-profit agencies with which we contract.

Board Members:

The Community Mental Health & Recovery Board, comprised of local volunteers and staff members, manages funding primarily from the federal government, the Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH), the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services (ODADAS) and from a local tax levy. The local tax levy provides portions of the funding for behavioral health services in Licking and Knox Counties. The tax levy is important because these local dollars are used to obtain additional state and federal dollars through "match programs."
